A feed additive for increasing the content of nervonic acid and arginine in animal bodies. The feed additive comprises Erodii herba geranii herba, Galla chinensis, Phellodendri chinensis cortex, xylooligosaccharide, arazyme, Glycyrrhizae radix et rhizoma, thymol, multivitamins, Astragali radix and Acanthopanacis cortex. The feed additive can increase the content of unsaturated fatty acids and amino acids in animal bodies, has a particularly remarkable effect in terms of increasing the content of nervonic acid and arginine, and can be widely applied in the breeding of livestock and poultry. The meat fat structure of the livestock and poultry fed with a feed containing the additive can meet the health and nutrition requirements of human bodies.
