A METHOD FOR PREPARING ACETYLATED STARCH TO IMPROVE THE YIELD OFBUTYRIC ACID FROM FERMENTATION

The invention discloses a method for preparing acetylated starchto improve the yield of butyric acid from fermentation, related tofood, health products, pet feeds and animal husbandry feeds. Asdescribed in the method, the starch from potatoes, corn, andcassava are selected; the substitute reagent is acetic anhydride;the reagents for pH value adjustment include NaOH solution of 0.1mol/L and HCL solution of 0.1 mol/L; the acetyl groupconcentration ranges from 0.5% to 2.5%. The starch is converted toacetylated starch through optimized acetylation substitution tosupplement necessary dietary fibers in foods and diets of peopleand animals. The invention is applicable to: A. daily and healthfoods including baked food, meat products, dairy products, etc.for healthy people; B. dietary therapy of diabetes, obesity,cerebro—cardiovascular diseases, high blood lipid, digestivesystem diseases, and other chronic diseases; C. foods and healthproducts for pets; D. animal husbandry feeding.
