913,406. Meat presses. MEAT PACKERS EQUIPMENT CO. Sept. 8, 1961, No. 32352/61. Class 87(2). A meat press comprises a mould 1 having a number of holes 10 at the junction of the side walls and a closure plate 6 supported by a flange 5 around the bottom of the mould and which plate 6 is raised to eject the meat loaf. The pressure unit 11 to urge a compression plate 12 downwardly is temporarily mounted on the open end of the mould by swinging rachet arms 17 engaging a flange 9. A second compression plate 18 under the plate 12 prevents meat adhering to the plate 12 when the pressure unit 11 is removed. The side walls of the mould 1 may be perforated.
