[Also in Division B8] In a food mould-filling machine of the type in which a mould 6 is filled by placing it on a filling horn 3 and forcing food into the mould 6 by a plunger 4, the mould 6 is prevented from sliding off the horn 3 by a latch plate 9 engaging a flange 8 on the mould. The latch plate 9 is pivoted to the horn 3 at 11 and is held by a notch in a plate 13. When the mould has been filled (as in Fig. 3), the latch is released (shown dotted Fig. 2) and the plunger 4 is advanced to slide the mould 6 off the horn 3 (Fig. 4).
