The preparation method for the (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)silane oligomer in the present invention comprises the following steps: adding, in a dropwise manner, a mixed solution of water and a lower alcohol into (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)chlorosilane under a positive pressure condition, and carrying out hydrolysis and esterification reactions to obtain the (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)silane oligomer. In the present invention, a (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)chlorosilane monomer is used as a raw material, a mixed solution of water and an alcohol is added in a dropwise manner into the (2,4,4-trimethylpentyl)chlorosilane monomer under a positive pressure environment, and esterification and hydrolysis are carried out at the same time, such that the silane oligomer can be directly synthesized in one step. The method in the present invention has a simple process, low energy consumption and few by-products, reduces the usage of alcohol and decreases the total amount of the three wastes.
