Fuente: Comité Oleícola Internacional Lugar: Sin categoría On 16 June 2026, the headquarters of the International Olive Council (IOC) welcomed a delegation from the recently established Women Soul of the Olive Tree Association (Mujer Alma de Olivo), led by its President, Montserrat Godoy.

The delegation, comprising around twenty professionals representing different stages of the olive value chain, reflected the diversity of the sector and the association’s commitment to promoting the role of women and supporting the sustainable development of olive growing.

The group was received by Abderraouf Laajimi, IOC Deputy Executive Director, María Juárez, Head of the Economy and Promotion Unit, and Imene Trabelsi, Head of the Promotion Department.

Held in a warm and constructive atmosphere, the meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on several issues of importance to the olive sector, including the role of training, the need to strengthen links among stakeholders, generational renewal, quality and cooperation.

The discussions also explored potential avenues for collaboration aimed at further supporting the development of the sector and enhancing the participation of women across the olive value chain.
