Fuente: WIPO "olive oil" 1319411 Determination of lipase; olive oil emulsion BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM GmbH 8 Dec 1970 [10 Dec 1969] 58303/70 Headings B1V and B1X [Also in Division C5] A reagent for the determination of lipase comprises a solid (which may be emulsified by the mere addition of water) obtained by the removal of water from an aqueous emulsion of olive oil and an organic protective colloid, said solid containing 0.3 parts by weight of colloid per part by volume of oil. Colloids specified are dextran, mannitol, serum albumen, gum arabic and/or polyvinyl-pyrrolidone. Other ingredients specified are taurocholate, sodium desoxycholate and sodium chloride. The emulsion may be made using ultrasonic or mechanical means to give a droplet size of less than 3 microns.
