These blends appear to possess a savoury flavour while they are much cheaper than traditional virgin olive oils blends having the same quality. The invention employs with benefit ethanol washed Lampante oil. Ethanol washing has been found to let unaffected the attractive original taste and flavour of olive oil while removing flavour spoiling substances together with fatty acids.
