Olive oil based flavoured spreads

An edible spread formulation comprising at least 2% olive oil by weight; at least one edible oil, in addition to said olive oil, the formulation containing a total of about 12% - 75%, by weight, of said edible oil and said olive oil; about 3% - 33%, by weight, of at least one flavouring solid, with the said flavouring solid selected from the group consisting of cocoa solids, carob powder, nut solids or nut paste; and at least one sweetener. The spread formulation being substantially solid at 25°C.
