LACTIC ACID BACTERIUM AND FERMENTED DAIRY PRODUCT, MEDICINE AND DRINK USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lactic acid bacterium which has an effect of preventing or ameliorating allergic symptoms, allergic disorders or inflammatory diseases, in a direction toward suppressing the secretion of IL-17 without inducing an unexpected side effect for normalizing the immune balance, and to provide fermented dairy products, medicines or drinks using the same.SOLUTION: The lactic acid bacterium, Streptococcus thermophilus, having a large IFN-/IL-4 with an extremely low luminescence value of IL-17 has been found by repeating tests following the test and evaluation method by stimulation of TGF-+IL-6 of Mouse Splenocytes. The therapy and amelioration of allergic symptoms, allergic disorders and inflammatory diseases can be expected, and further the immune balance can be improved to a proper state without inducing Th17. The use as a lactic acid bacteria for fermented dairy products is possible and the lactic acid bacteria can be used in medicines and drinks.COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
