The refrigerator also includes a removable cart 200 upon which a load 12 to be chilled, such as a container of milk or orange juice, may be placed. When the cart is received within the main body the cart defines a lower floor of the cooling chamber. Ideally the cart includes a platform 212 having a thermally insulating layer 211 that engages with the side walls 111,112 and rear wall 113 of the main body to seal a lower opening 130 in the main body. The main body ideally includes a door 150 to selectively open and close a front opening 140 in the main body. The cart may have wheels 220 to enable sliding of the cart into the main body. The seal may be formed using a gasket.
