Patent 505179 A method for desensitizing a human subject to an allergen wherein the method comprises orally administering to the subject a food product, in an amount and for a time sufficient to produce an allergic response-suppressive effect in the subject against the allergens. The food product comprises allergic response-suppressive amounts of active; non-antibody polypeptides form the milk of milk-producing, immunized animals wherein the animals have been immunized against the allergens.
