Fuente: WIPO "milk"
Patent 537363 Disclosed is a method for determining whether a bovine animal possesses a gene encoding for the protein beta-casein A1 or a gene encoding for the protein beta-casein A2 by testing the DNA of the animal for the presence of at least one DNA marker for either of the beta-casein A1 or beta-casein A2 genes, where the at least one DNA marker is the SNP AC000061 of SEQ ID No:21 located in a gene encoding for the protein alphas2-casein. The method can be used to produce milk substantially free of beta-casein A1.
