Vitamins.-In the treatment of milk with ultraviolet radiations for the purpose of imparting antirachitic properties thereto, the intensity of the radiations and the duration of treament are controlled to avoid the production of an unpleasant odour and taste, whilst at the same time at least 75 per cent of the total producible antirachitic property is imparted.
