The method includes the steps of soaking tomato seeds in warm water; according to the growth demands of the tomato seeds, selecting seedling raising plates; filling the seedling raising plates with nutrient soil, applying water to the soil, and keeping the nutrient soil wet; planting the tomato seeds in the seedling raising plates, and covering the tomato seeds with the nutrient soil; maintaining the nutrient soil wet, and after the tomato seeds germinate, applying water and frass different in amount at the different time periods; when tomato seedlings are 25-35 days old and every leaf center is surrounded by four leaves, conducting field planting on the tomato seedlings. By adopting the provided tomato seedling raising method, the germination rate of the tomato seeds is high, the seedling raising time is short, and more robust tomato seedlings can be obtained; the survival rate of the transplanted tomato seedlings is ensured; moreover, the frass of yellow mealworms is more environmentally friendly and free of smell compared with other fertilizer, and a novel approach is provided for seedling raising of the tomato seeds.
