More specifically, it is confirmed that genetic sequences from S. pimpinellifolium, wild tomato species, and S. lycopersicum, cultivated tomato species, are compared to select 5 sites of insertion and deletion (Indel) from each of 12 tomato chromosomes, and a primer for amplifying the Indel sites is used to be able to discriminate S. pimpinellifolium, wild tomato species, from S. lycopersicum, cultivated tomato species. Therefore, the tomato insertion-deletion marker primer set of the present invention can be used as a primer set for discriminating S. pimpinellifolium, wild tomato species, from S. lycopersicum, cultivated tomato species.
