The invention discloses a poached tomato. A making method of the poached tomato comprises the following steps of taking a tomato, placing the taken tomato in hot water, performing soaking for 3-5 minutes, taking out the soaked tomato, stripping the skin of the soaked tomato, performing cutting to form an opening with a knife in the position directly over the tomato without the skin, and drawing out internal tomato flesh, so that the tomato becomes the hollow tomato; taking a fresh egg, breaking the taken egg and enabling egg liquid to flow into a bowl, then taking a cone-shaped funnel, and carefully transferring the egg liquid to the inner part of the hollow tomato; putting the tomato filled with the egg liquid in a pot for steaming foods, performing cooking until the egg liquid is completely solidified, and stopping heating, so that the tomato and the egg liquid solidified in the tomato wholly form the poached tomato. The poached tomato disclosed by the invention has the beneficial effects that the poached tomato has the characteristics of being beautiful in shape, delicious in taste, and rich in nutrition.
