METHOD FOR PARING TOMATO

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for paring tomato, by which the tomato can be pared without deteriorating the flesh and surface states of the tomato, while solving the defects of a conventional tomato-paring method using "hot water", such as the deterioration of the flesh of the tomato and bad efficiency, and further while solving the defects of other invented tomato-paring methods using hot air or under high pressure, such as the remarkable softening of tomato and the deterioration in the freshness of the tomato due to the dryness of the tomato surface.SOLUTION: This method for easily paring the tomato comprises applying superheated steam to the tomato under the atmospheric pressure. By the method, problems such as the softening of the flesh of the tomato and the dryness of the surface can be solved, and the treating speed is also improved.
