The invention discloses clone of tomato transporter SlZIF1 and application of the tomato transporter SlZIF1. The clone of the tomato transporter SlZIF1 can be applied to regulation and control of tomato clusters and plant types. The cloning of the tomato transporter SlZIF1 comprises the following steps: firstly, obtaining an SIZIF1 gene and constructing an over-expression SIZIF1-PRI101 vector; carrying out genetic transformation and obtaining of T0-generation tomato plants; transgenic plants are identified, and test results show that clusters are newly added among true leaves at the lower parts of the plants except clusters at the tops of the plants; the wild tomato MT only has tomato clusters at the top of the plant and has no fruit clusters at the lower part of the plant; the overexpression SIZIF1 has the potential of increasing the tomato yield, can form a more reasonable plant type, and has great application value.
