The computer system creates textual descriptions of the sensor data and combines them into a unified textual description. This description is compared to the stored descriptions and if they match or are similar, an action corresponding to the event is identified; otherwise, input identifying an action corresponding event is accepted and stored in the event-to-action database. An action, such as sending an alert to the caregiver, is performed. The caregiver receives the alert if the caregiver's caseload permits access to the individual's information.
