More specifically the invention relates to tomato plants (S. lycopersicum) that are resistant to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (TSWV). The present invention further relates to a resistance gene or genomic sequence providing resistance to Tospovirus. Furthermore, the present invention relates to methods for providing a S. lycopersicum plant that is resistant to Tospovirus.
