Fuente: WIPO "tomato" The present disclosure relates to a system and method for the preparation and clarifying of biological tissue samples. The system comprises a sample subsystem equipped with one or more containers for holding samples, alongside a reagent subsystem containing one or more containers for various specialized reagents. These reagents comprise a Refractive Index Reagent (RIR), preferably 2,2'-thiodiethanol (TDE), and preferably also comprises a Lipid Extraction Reagent (LER) and/or a Labelling Reagent (LR), more preferably further comprises one or more of a Bleaching Reagent (BR), a Calcium Removal Reagent (CRR), and a Fixative Reagent (FR). The sample and reagent subsystems are interconnected through one or more multi-channel subsystems, facilitating efficient fluid communication. Additionally, the system preferably integrates a waste disposal unit, enhancing operational convenience and safety. The method for sample clarifying comprises a bleaching step which comprises contacting the sample with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), and/or a clarifying step that comprises contacting the sample with 2,2'-thiodiethanol (TDE).
