The techniques include measuring at least one optical property of the illumination conditions with at least two sensors; obtaining information associated with the at least one optical property measured by the at least two sensors; and comparing the information to determine a presence or an absence of unexpected data, such that: in the presence of unexpected data, determining an event potentially attributable to the presence of unexpected data and providing a correction factor to the at least one optical property measured by the at least two sensors to obtain at least one corrected optical property representative of actual illumination conditions; and in the absence of unexpected data, validating that the at least one optical property measured by the at least two sensors is representative of the actual illumination conditions.
