The methods provided by the present disclosure may include one or more steps of sanitizing, drying, milling, coarse width sizing, length sizing aspiration, width and thickness separation, aspiration-classification, or separation using a friction table. The present disclosure further provides a population of purified embryo explants produced using the disclosed apparatuses, systems, and methods.
