The plants, plant cells and plant parts may further comprise at least one functionally inactivating mutation within an allele of a gene selected from: carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 8 (CCD8); Gibberellin-insensitive dwarf 1a (GID1a); and Gibberellin- insensitive dwarf 1b1 (GID1b1). The plants, plant cells and plant parts are suitably from the species Solanum lycopersicum (tomato). Methods for making the plants, plant cells and plant parts are provided also.
