REMOVAL OF A MAIN SUCKER FROM A GREENHOUSE PLANT

Fuente: WIPO "tomato"
In the field of removing a main sucker from a greenhouse plant, a method is provided which comprises the use of a device with a detection system and a gripper. The detection system is used to capture an image of a part of the greenhouse plant and to detect at least a main sucker and a path of a main branch on which the main sucker is situated in the image. Subsequently, the gripper is controlled in order to engage with a detected main sucker. Then, the main sucker is initially deflected downwards with respect to the path of the main branch, until the main sucker becomes partly detached from the main branch, and it is subsequently moved upwards along the path of the main branch until the main sucker becomes completely detached from the main branch.
