Fuente: WIPO "tomato" The present invention provides a chromatin-derived genes transcriptional signature suitable to classify two subgroups of prostate cancer patients with different BCR outcome. Gene expression analysis revealed a protective, antitumoral activity of the HDD subtype associated with changes in chromatin compartments and transcriptional repression. The transcriptional signature of the invention confirmed its prognostic relevance across multiple cohorts covering more than 900 prostate cancer patients in total thus providing an innovative strategy for the stratification of primary prostate cancers.
