The invention involves expressing modified oleosins with artificially introduced cysteine residues in the plants. The plants optionally also express a triacylglycerol (TAG) synthesising enzyme. The invention also provides methods for reducing nitrous oxide (N2O) production from the soil in which the plants are grown. The invention also includes methods for the production of seed of the plants, and packages and use of such seed.
