Fuente: WIPO "tomato" The present disclosure relates to a plant-protective conjugate comprising a herbicide chemically linked to a photoprotective moiety through a photocleavable bond. The conjugate is capable of accumulating within a plant, wherein the bond is cleavable upon exposure to light, thereby releasing the herbicide. The conjugate exhibits a herbicidal effect significantly greater than the herbicide in its free form upon light exposure. The disclosure further provides an agricultural composition comprising the conjugate and a suitable vehicle, as well as a method for delivering the conjugate to plants under conditions that allow for its accumulation and activation by light exposure.
