The present invention further provides a formulation comprising Saflufenacil as a first active ingredient, a Metribuzin as a second active ingredient and one or more agronomically acceptable excipients or fillers and process for preparation thereof. The present invention further provides the process of preparing the said composition which is environment friendly and its application in the field of agriculture against a broad spectrum along with long residual chemical weed control.
