More particularly, there is provided Bacteroides, Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium psychobiotics and extracellular vesicles therefrom. The methods include methods of treating and/or preventing a psychiatric disorder, methods of improving gut health and methods of reducing inflammation. Also provided are compositions including compositions comprising the psychobiotics and/or extracellular vesicles.
