Fuente: WIPO "tomato" Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to cosmetic compositions, and more specifically, facial oil compositions and methods for applying such compositions to skin. In one or more embodiments, a cosmetic composition is provided and contains an oil having fatty acids, an ascorbate, and salicylic acid. The cosmetic composition contains the oil in a range from about 70 wt% to about 96 wt%, the ascorbate in a range from about 2 wt% to about 25 wt%, and the salicylic acid in a range from about 0.5 wt% to about 5 wt%. The cosmetic compositions provide a stable oil based medium for the ascorbate and the salicylic acid, such to prevent the crystallization and/or precipitation of the ascorbate and the salicylic acid at a range of temperatures and durations to provide a stable composition.
