In particular, the invention provides antimicrobial or biostatic enzymes (either singularly or in combinations) in formulations optimized for eliciting a Systemic Acquired Resistance (SAR) in plants. The invention also provides compositions that elicit activation of genes associated with flowering and fruit development. The invention further provides compositions with biostimulating effects on plants. In some embodiments, compositions are dormant and become active upon exposure to hydration, oxygen, or mixing.
