The method includes the following steps: i. acquiring spectroscopic data of the sample by using at least one spectrometer device, within at least one spatial measurement range of the spectrometer device; ii. acquiring, by using at least one imaging device, image data of a scene within a field of view of the imaging device and analyzing the image data and/or the spectroscopic data thereby determining at least one item of identification information on the sample by using at least one processing device; and iii. evaluating the spectroscopic data for obtaining at least one item of sample information by using the processing device.
