The composition effectively reduces melanin transfer, increases GSH levels, promotes skin regeneration, shows no cytotoxic effects, reduces LDH release and lowers PAR-2 activity. Also disclosed is a skin care system for improving skin tone and appearance comprising a formulation derived from white heirloom tomatoes containing colourless carotenoids and flavonoids.
