The invention relates to a tomato leaf area measuring method based on binocular stereoscopic vision, which comprises the following steps of: performing binocular calibration by utilizing a chessboard calibration method: setting a plurality of coordinate systems, and solving internal parameters of a binocular camera by combining a fixed-focus multi-angle image; calculating the distance from the binocular camera to the tomato leaves by using the left and right parallax; carrying out stereo correction and distortion correction: calculating a rotation matrix and a translation matrix of the binocular camera to obtain a parallel configuration binocular stereo image pair, and carrying out distortion correction by using a correction formula; the pixel area of the tomato leaves is counted, and the actual leaf area is calculated. The tomato leaf area can be nondestructively and rapidly measured, the leaf area change in the crop growth process can be dynamically tracked, the leaf surface structure is not damaged, manpower is liberated, and the efficiency is high; the precision is high, the speed is high, the flexibility is good, and the potential is great; distortion processing is carried out on the picture obtained by the binocular camera to obtain the parallel configuration binocular stereo image pair, the influence of factors such as angles in the shooting process is eliminated, and the accuracy is high.
