COSMETIC INGREDIENTS DERIVED FROM TOMATO CUTIN

Cosmetic ingredient comprising the following components: a. the product of cutin depolymerization, obtained from tomato industrial processing, in particular from tomato peels; b. a short diol or polyol having 2-8 carbon atoms; c. a long diol or polyol having a high molecular weight, higher than 500 Dalton and a number of carbon atoms higher than 20; d. a dicarboxylic acid having 4-50 carbon atoms. Optionally, said ingredient comprises further a volatile and/or non-volatile cosmetic oil. The cosmetic ingredient having the function of film-forming, emollient or texturizing/rheologic modifier. The present description also discloses the method for the synthesis of said cosmetic ingredient and final cosmetic products containing said cosmetic ingredients.
