The invention discloses a chromaticity-based lycopene nondestructive testing device and method.The chromaticity-based lycopene nondestructive testing device comprises a three-jaw gripper, a chromaticity recognition system sensor, a hardness recognition system sensor and a data processing unit, the three-jaw gripper is located at the operation front end of the device, and three jaw arms of the three-jaw gripper are evenly distributed; the chromaticity recognition system sensor and the hardness recognition system sensor are arranged in the three-jaw gripper, the data processing unit is arranged in a control host, and the host is located at the rear end or on the side face of the device and connected with acquisition units of the chromaticity detection system and the hardness detection system through data lines. According to the invention, nondestructive detection is realized, and the detection accuracy is improved. According to the method, destructive sampling of the tomatoes is not needed, multi-dimensional data such as hardness, chromaticity and CI fruit color index are integrated, and compared with single index detection, the relation between the tomato internal quality characteristics and the lycopene content can be more comprehensively reflected.
