The object of the invention is the use of formulations of curcuminoids as a technological additive extending the shelf life of fermented dairy products, as agent with antimicrobial activity against pathogenic microorganisms and, at the same time, stimulating the growth of probiotic microorganisms in fermented dairy products, as an agent improving the organoleptic and taste properties of a fermented dairy product, a method of extending the shelf life of a fermented dairy product and a fermented dairy product with extended shelf life obtained by this method. The invention enables production of probiotic-nutraceutical dairy products with extended shelf life and edibility, comprising live probiotic strains of microorganisms and curcuminoids.
