Goldthread red date bread comprises, by weight, 3-12 parts of goldthread, 13-17 parts of white granulated sugar, 23-26 parts of milk powder, 15-19 parts of butter, 23-28 parts of yeast, 6-12 parts of table salt, 4-13 parts of baking soda, 34-38 parts of egg yolk, 235-267 parts of high protein flour, 123-156 parts of low protein flour, 45-56 parts of olive oil, 21-26 parts of honey, 53-58 parts of red dates, 22-27 parts of brown sugar and 45-53 parts of water. A preparation method for the goldthread red date bread comprises the following steps that all materials are weighed by weight, and the goldthread and the red dates are cleaned and then smashed into powder; then, the obtained powder and the remained raw materials are stirred for 1.4 hours, and dough is obtained; next, the dough is stored for 0.7 hour at the indoor temperature and then baked for 0.4 hour at the temperature being 130 DEG C; and finally, the dough is taken out and cooled to the indoor temperature.
