New trisazo dyes which are suitable in particular for dyeing cotton, regenerated cellulose, paper stock and paper materials and also leathers and hides are obtained when a diazotised amino diazo compound of the formula II where R is as defined in the formula I, is coupled in any desired order with hydroxy-diphenylamine of the formula IV K1-H (IV> and also with a diazotised amine of the formula III D1-NH2 (III). The new trisazo dyes prepared according to the invention have in the form of the free acid the formula I where the substituents are each as defined in Claim 1. The radical D1 of these trisazo dyes is a radical of the benzene series that contains at least one further sulphonic acid group.
