The free base is obtainable by treating the product with sodium hydroxide. The picrate and ferrocyanide of the product are obtainable by precipitation from an aqueous solution of the product with the corresponding acid.ALSO:For immunizing plants against systemic diseases, or for treating plants infected with such diseases, use is made of compounds of the formula A-CO-CH2-GH2-Y, in which A is an aryl or substituted aryl radical and Y is an amino or substituted amino group or an amine salt group. Specified salts are the hydrochlorides, hydrobromides, picrates and ferrocyanides. Y may be a piperidino or morpholino group.
