The composition may comprise a foaming agent, an anti-caking agent, a surfactant, and at least one essential oil. In some embodiments a powder-based composition and methods are provided for treating drains. The pest control composition may be applied in a drain and activated with water to cause the pest control composition to react and generate a foam in the drain. The foam may then remain in the drain and/or in contact with the pests and later be washed down the drain.
