The monosilicic acid is in solution and is formed by a series of hydrolysis reactions from the sodium disilicate and/or sodium trisilicate via substantial dilution. The solution containing monosilicic acid is then applied during various phases of plant growth and can be used in conjunction with traditional NPK-based fertilizers.
