The invention also relates to an agricultural method for cultivating the aforementioned plant species, the eastern larkspur (Delphinium hispanicum Willk. ex Costa (1873)). The extract according to the invention is effective not only against pests visible on the plant, but also against phytophagous pests living hidden in the plant tissues. The extract also has an appetite -suppressing effect on pests and has a chemical signal that keeps phytophagous insects away for a period of time, meaning that after treatment, they either settle in un- treated areas or do not feed.
