The invention is suitable for the technical field of ecological restoration, and provides a microplastic removal algae bed based on benthic filamentous green algae, a method and application. The invention discloses a micro-plastic removal algae bed based on benthic filamentous green algae. The micro-plastic removal algae bed comprises a plurality of net curtains which are arranged at intervals, the net curtain is fixed at the bottom of a riverbed through the fixed steel tank; the web curtain is formed by fixedly connecting a plurality of criss-cross steel bar frameworks; a rough hemp rope is wound on the steel reinforcement framework to serve as a substrate. According to the method, the strong trapping capacity of the benthic filamentous green algae on the micro-plastics is utilized, an efficient algae bed is constructed in situ in a river channel, nitrogen and phosphorus are effectively absorbed, meanwhile, the micro-plastics in river water are efficiently collected, and the purposes of biologically concentrating the micro-plastics and reducing the abundance of the micro-plastics in a water environment are achieved; and all the materials of the algae bed are not plastic products, so that new plastic pollutants can be prevented from being introduced.
