The prepared cat litter comprises a cat litter composition and an adhesive; the cat litter composition is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 200 to 250 parts of industrial hemp extraction residues, 10 to 50 parts of starch, 50 to 100 parts of pectin and 80 to 120 parts of water-absorbent resin; and the mass ratio of the adhesive to the cat litter composition is 8-15%. The cat litter prepared by the invention is simple in component and fragrant in smell, the adsorption effect of the cat litter is improved by virtue of strong water absorption of the industrial hemp extraction residues and the starch, the agglomeration property is good, the cat litter has a relatively good burying effect on excreta, and the peculiar performance of the industrial hemp extraction residues can adsorb foul smell of the excreta, so that the purposes of deodorization and sterilization are achieved. Meanwhile, the selected raw materials are non-toxic, harmless, safe, reliable, simple in preparation method and low in cost, and industrial hemp extraction residues can be fully utilized to prepare byproducts.
