METHOD FOR DEVELOPING BIOCHAR FROM INDUSTRIAL HEMP STALK PYROLYSIS WITH RAPID COOLING FOR THE MODIFICATION OF BITUMINOUS BINDERS

Fuente: WIPO "industrial hemp"
The invention relates to the production of biochar through the pyrolysis of industrial hemp stalks at 300°C, followed by rapid cooling. The biochar acts as a modifier to reduce the temperature sensitivity of bituminous binders, improve their high-temperature performance, and enhance the resistance of bituminous binders and hot bituminous mixtures to aging.
