Raw materials of the sisal hemp softener comprise the following ingredients (by weight): 8-12 parts of paraffin oil, 0.8-1.2 parts of oleic acid, 0.4-0.6 part of potassium hydroxide, 0.2-0.4 part of silicone oil and 35 parts of water. A preparation method of the sisal hemp softener comprises the following steps based on the above ratio: 1) firstly adding paraffin oil into a mixing drum; 2) adding oleic acid and stirring oleic acid and paraffin oil for 2-3 min; 3) adding potassium hydroxide and water and stirring for 3-4 min; 4) adding silicone oil and stirring for 5-7 min to obtain the sisal hemp softener. By the use of the sisal hemp softener, it can be ensured that sisal hemp fiber is fully softened, a sisal hemp product has texture, and fineness of sisal hemp fiber is enhanced.
