Fuente: WIPO "hemp" The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for the prevention or treatment of thrombosis containing an extract of sprouts of cannabis sativa (hemp sprout) as an active ingredient, and more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for the prevention or treatment of thrombosis containing as an active ingredient an extract of sprouts of hemp grown by sprouting hemp seeds through inhibiting blood coagulation. As proven through the embodiments herein, the extract of sprouts of cannabis sativa as an active ingredient in the pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for the prevention or treatment of thrombosis of the present invention exhibits strong antithrombotic activity by inhibiting thrombogenesis-related enzymes and blood coagulation factors, while at the same time having weak hemolytic activity against human red blood cells, and shows excellent thermal stability. Even under acidic conditions of pH 2 and in plasma, there is no loss of the blood coagulation factor inhibitory effect and the enzyme inhibitory effect related to thrombus formation. Thus, it is expected that it can be used for the prevention and treatment of thrombosis such as ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke by improving blood circulation. In addition, the extract of sprouts of cannabis does not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), so the extract can be used practically and has excellent effects by being processed into various forms such as extract, powder, pills, tablets, and the like to be prepared for regular consumption.
